Default Anyone familiar with Bridgewater Middle School??

Bridgewater is the new middle school located in Independence. My daughter will start 7th grade when we move sometime in October. We visited the school and I spent a minute speaking to a woman who had moved from Bayside (Queens, NY) and she was very happy w/the school (mind you it was only the 2nd week of school). Well, when we met the admin for registration the woman made it sound like the Harvard of middle schools' However, I was taken back by the fact that there were no languages offered in 7th grade and possibly not in 8th either(not even Spanish :-O). Also there are not many electives. She danced around this by saying they were investing their monie into the academics. This is the school where a few Windermere towns are sending their overflow. Is this lack of languages and electives such as Technology normal in the better schools such as Dr Phil, Lake Mary, Celebration, etc. I heard that Fl. schools were making some great strides in getting on par with NY and other states schools.
I would love feed back from anyone who is school informed. Do we need to take these classes on line or should I seek an affordable (haha) private school. Thank you.

My kids go to Bridgewater.
They have just opened this year. The money is simply not available yet.
They say it will be and more things will be added next year, I don't see space for it though-ask them.
The principal has opened several schools in the past has been a middle school principal at Lakeview Middle School for a number of years before this. Maybe you can look at that one and see the programs there and see what she did and the direction she tends toward.

I know that as far as the schools in the area, you could do much worse.

I'm surprized to hear about the languages thing, that has surprized me the most. Most schools I know including my daughters middle school (she just began 6th grade) they are required to take a language. Where is bridgewater middle school....I'm trying to remember.......
