hello guys,
My family & I are planning on relocating to Florida from California. Are bugs problem in Orlando Florida really that bad? Are they an all-year-round problem? Will an exterminator regular visit help ease the problem?
I appreciate your input guys! God bless.

I don't think bugs are what people should be concerned about when moving to Florida. The summer heat is definitely the worst adjustment you will face. I have never had a major problem with bugs. You will see a roach or silverfish here and there, but with proper pest control it should not be a major issue.

In any tropical climate your going to see some bugs outside. It doesnt seem to be an issue for us at all. We have the yard treated twice a year and we do not see any bugs inside besides a moth or mosquito that flies in while the door is open. Also we make sure the house is sealed up good. We did have some ants coming in the bathroom window once, my husband caulked it and that was the last we saw of the ants.

If you move into a pretty clean apartment/home you can keep the bug problem under control. It does mean more cleaning but you can manage.

I agree and especially regarding there are other issues that should be of greater concern than bugs or heat/humidity, especially when moving from a state with the economic issues of CA. It could very well be "out of the frying pan and into the fire" in terms of a lifestyle change and would encourage due diligence should that be the case. Good luck!
