Hi, My husband is being relocated to the southern Orlando area. We are from a small town in Wisconsin, so I know its going to be an adjustment, but any advice would be SO HELPFUL!!!
I have done a ton of research but I know online only gives me part of the picture. I will be coming down to Orlando next weekend and need to have a plan of areas to visit. We are thinking western Orlando
So far I like:
Winder Garden and Windermere, but how far is the commute to just south of Bear Head Lake?
Most important is where are the best schools? I will have 2 elementary 1 in middle and 1 in high school.
I know that is a lot to ask, but again any help is so appreciated!!!!
Thanks!

Those areas are a pretty hefty commute.

Have you looked at Lake Nona or Hunters Creek?

Lake Nona would be a better commute choice but from the back side of Disney/Winter Garden/Windermere you have back roads so isn't all that bad just longer timeline.

Areas to preview, back side of Disney/Winter Garden/Windermere and Lake Nona area

Hope this helps,

Right in the immediate area is the Belle Isle/Conway area which is the Boone/Blanker school districts. It's considered a very good school district elementary to high school. Lake Nona, as others have mentioned is good option. Just a little further north Winter Park is a very good school district within reasonable commute time.

We are from a small community in WI as well and considering relocating. I was wondering if you were happy with your move?
