Hi All,

I have lived in Orlando area for 2 years, and I have went through 6 Hairstylist!!! Yet I have not found one who is professional and does quality service for the money they are charging. I am a african american woman who has short sassy hair. I'm actually really easy, I like really simple styles nothing complicated and would love to find someone who does quality work. Willing to pay if it's worth it and willing to travel up to 25%. Any advice i'm willing to take I have nothing to loose.... my hair has been to hell and back.

Thanks in advance!

Try Salon Cisceaux on Wymore Rd in Winter Park, just off I4. They do have a webpage and even online booking if you like. And they specialize in curly hair. One of their owner/stylists, Arlene, is African American. Good luck.

If you dont mind a little bit of a drive, Gina's in Pine Hills is always busy and I love seeing the styles I see come out of there. She has two shops..one near Pine Hills and Colonial and the other one the coner of Colonial and Apopka/Vineland.
I have her card on my desk at work. If you're interesed I'll get you the number on Monday.

Trivettes I heard of this salon when I was searching. I heard of great reviews and I was interested in going......

Granny Sue Gina's salon came up in my search also and I would love to get the number from you. Do you think the one in apopka is closer? I'm open to all ideas I think I'm going to give both a try :-) thanks guys!

Two things...

What do you mean by travel up to 25%?
What do you consider a reasonable cost for a haircut. If you only want to spend $15, you'll get what you pay for at SuperCuts.

When you meet people with similar hair and a great style, ask who does their hair. That's the best way to find a great hairdresser.

I will travel up to 25 miles. I have never spent 15 dollars in any salon for a haircut and who pays $15 dollars for a haircut? To answer your question I will pay up to a $100 dollars if it's worth it I don't go cheap when it comes down to myself. Btw I have not met anyone who hair was worth asking that's why I post this. Hope this makes it clear for you and with the two reccomendations I got earlier I think I will use thoes.... Thanks anyway!

There's a lady at the JC Penney Salon in Florida Mall, I don't know her name, but I know she does the hair of two of the local black newscasters. She seems to have an enormous clientele and has two assistants, so she must be doing something right.

The number for Gina's is 407-290-6688.

If you want to google map the address. The one I know exactly where it is...7649 W Colonial Drive suite 170.

Good Luck.

Thank you for that information. Is anyone in that salon I should ask for or Gina?

You might want to try for Gina but there are a number of stylists there. I'm not sure of their names. Or if Gina is busy, ask her for a recomendation.
