We're in the process of finding a house and buying one before Aug and trying to find out how much it will cost us to move (local move, maybe less than 3 mi). We'll probably be moving most of the light stuff ourselves but we need help on the heavy stuff(beds, fridge, and so forth) so our realtor said he tried "2 Men & A Truck",,anybody has any experience with these moving company? We might be buying a 2 story-house (we tried looking for one level to no avail!) and moving from a 2 story house as well. Any recommendations for a local moving company? Thanks!

The "A" list rates them very high.

They quoted me about twice as much as another moving company, so we went with the latter. That being said, they are nationwide and reputable.

I don't remember what we paid, but we have used them twice and I HIGHLY recommend them! They treated our furniture with care like it was their own. They took the time to carefully wrap each and every glass table, etc.

I have used them 3 times! Once in Atlanta and twice in Orlando. They are the best. They are not expensive either in my experience because the quote is legit and close to the final cost. Once I went with a mover that quoted me less, then they nickel and dimed me to death on everything the day of the move and the price went way up. I just stick with 2 men and truck now.
