Hello everyone.

Currently, semi-retired and living near SE Florida in a small city .... 46 years of age, divorced w/ no children. I enjoy reading, yoga, walking near water and cooking healthy food.

I'm considering a move to an expensive High Rise Condo in Sunny Isles Beach or Daytona Beach Shores of Central Florida's east coast. I've been to Aventura & Sunny Isles many times and I like the vibe and diversity but traffic and the Condo I want is only a 1BR and very pricy. I've passed some time in Central Florida and Volusia, and the East Coast and it's very beautiful. Only drawback with The Shores, Ponce Inlet and Port Orange is it's 1/2 Retirees and 1/2 families, and there isn't much to do, but I kind of like that small town feel. On the other end we have Sunny Isles Beach - very lively and busy, with alot to do.

Thanks in advance for your help!

They are totally different areas.

Daytona Shores is much closer to the Orlando area so if theme parks are your friend, it's a better choice. Sunny Isles is warmer in the winter than Daytona and closer to the Miami/Ft Lauderdale entertainment.

It's truely a matter of personal perference. I enjoy both areas but for different reasons.
