the criminals down south are different from up north. they dont care down here. a 10 yr old will rob you if you have something he doesnt have or she at that. this is the dirty south and 60% of orlando is below poverty.

Yes, but the off duty cops are working. I get tired of saying the same things over and over about Metro West; so just read this thread:

MetroWest is not Crime Ridden!

and check this out:

http://www.metrowestinfo.com/mwarticle.html

I would take the opinion of someone living in MetroWest over those who don't, but thats just me.

You really need to back statements like that up; or atleast use made up statistics that sound remotely possible.

This is Mr haynck!LOL Anyway I worked in the city projects in the number 5 murder city. If your looking for trouble, you can find it easy. The home break in thing is new to me. Dont the perps worry about a light sleeper like me who believes in the right to bear arms. Should I put plastic sheets near my front door.LOL

This is too true. There are plenty of nicer areas that aren't next to multiple ghettos. With people I know, the trend tends to be that the out-of-towners buy a house or condo there, realize the crime so close, then sell or rent out their place while they live in a safer and more friendly part of Orlando. I'm sure there are people who come from rougher cities and don't have a problem living there.. I just wouldn't think it's a wise location for an investment. I'd prefer to put my money somewhere in Lake Mary, Winter Springs, Oviedo, or further east like Wedgefield.
