I'm not sure what me being in real estate has to do with my wife and I liking Windermere but I am sure you are probably angry about something.

1. The town is outside the hustle yet close enough to enjoy many varieties of activity.

2. My kids go to a fabulous school which was named one of 50 Blue Ribbon Schools in the country last year.

3. My home has increased in value 52% in six years.

If I read the question correctly, the individual asked for opinions from young professionals and that is what I have provided. I would love to hear your qualifications for being in that category and why are you not packing to move your young professional career to WV or Montana.

Windemere Area is where the richest people live in Orlando......How do we know that the person that posted can afford that area?

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.9 km˛ (1.1 mi˛), all land.

Sounds like 1 big overpriced subdivision. Props for having the money to live there though and being able to purchase the home at 52% less than what it may sell for now. If I had the money and was forced to live that close to Orlando (or Orange County), I would live there too.

But If I had the money, I would be living in Greenwich. Then again, if I had the resources to just pick up and leave now I would live just about anywhere in Connecticut.

We don't, but I do not think the individual asked me to interpret what he or she could afford. We also need to clarify your post to read the richest people live in Windermere but not all people in Windermere are rich. There are plenty of affordable homes in Windermere right now.

I should also clarify my post by saying when I stated we love Windermere I was not steering you in that direction as much as just identifying where we are. The jest of my post was that we have been here collectively for 11 years because we have found the job market to be successful for us.

What areas have you lived in while in Orlando for the 11 yrs?

I was just saying that Windemere isnt a real description of how Orlando is or how the average everyday citizen is living in Orlando...thats all......i am not saying that you are lesser than anyone because of living there, but what if he heard how nice it was from your story and just up and moved to Rio Grande Ave in South Orlando with his kids or in Azelea Park?.....those areas dont "look" like they are close to the ghetto on a map but ghetto is what they are or are becoming....thats all im saying...dont mean to offend you....im glad you are doing well and if the person is lucky maybe he has the money to move out there around you because that is a nice area...and i would recomend Clermont to him too.....but any closer to the city with kids ....i dont know.......i know lots of kids live in the city but why move into an area that you dont have to if you have the right money?

We started in an apartment in Hunter's Creek which was a huge mistake. We through money away for a year before buying a home in Hunter's Creek. I think you should always look at buying if you intend to stay somewhere three or more years. We were there for 3.5 years then to Windermere.

I would agree with Clermont and also Ocoee if you want to be a touch closer in. Clermont can be inconvenient depending on where you work.

I am a she and I currently reside in Pembroke Pines, and I don't care for it and its entirely too expensive for someone starting out. I don't really want to go to NC and TN, because I don't know anyone and it seems that you have to know someone to get a job nowadays. I had 2 friends in both locations and they went back to NJ because they couldn't find work.

I have visited Cleremont and it wasn't my cup of tea.

terryriddle, i'm not mad at all. not sure why you thought i was. i was saying since sales are much better in nc/sc now, why ppl wouldnt move there for better sales. that's all. that's where investors are now from ny/nj. they moved to fla, bought up everything and drove prices up, and now they are trying to do the same thing in nc/sc.
