Dwight Howard Rants to Twitter Follower Over Current Situation with Magic | Complex

Dwight should've spoken a long time ago. Now that Orlando has turned it's back on him, he can't come back to play even if he wanted to (I still want him in Orlando after all this). Word is he'll sit out the entire season if he has to play in Orlando.

Discuss.

If he sits out the season in order to avoid playing in Orlando it will be the end of his career. No team in their right mind would take on that type of whining for the money he is demanding. He has proven nothing but toxic to winning.

*Edit-after reading his alleged Tweets it's clear the Magic need to trade him for any decent deal. There are only a handful of procedure you can used to repair a herniated disk and even as an elite athlete you will suffer in physical performance. It's unlikely that he will be 100% for the beginning of the season and don't be surprised to see him shy away from contact, particularly in the post. Spinal surgery is never a small matter, on a large guy with the physical demands of Dwight, it's even a bigger deal. Maybe trading him sooner than later is better than gambling for teams to find out he's not Superman anymore.

I like Dwight, but less than I used to. I met him, he's a very nice guy. I just dont understand why he'd want to go to NJ anyway.

I'm so tired of this whiny dirtbag. Either play or leave. For 10+ mill a year, it's really VERY simple. S*** or get off the pot.

Because the Nets aren't going to be in New Jersey anymore. They've moved to Brooklyn (starting the 2012-13 season) which would have him square in the media spotlight versus being here.

OMG this guy is ridiculous. They have done WHAT to every superstar they have ever had you big buffoon??? Try to keep them? Pay them lots of money for a long time? Freaking build a new arena for them? It's really irritating to listen to him play the victim.

It is funny to see every superstar or star leave Orlando, unhappy or otherwise and become big elsewhere. And, the stars that were big elsewhere that came to Orlando and ended up a disappointment.

Left Orlando (unhappy): Penny, T-Mac
Left Orlando to be a star: Shaq, Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups
Left star elsewhere to flop in Orlando: Steve Francis, Grant Hill(I know), Rashard Lewis, Gilbert Arenas(injury or not enough playing time?)

Not to mention all the horrible draft picks that we've wasted.

Well it wasn't all bad with those guys here. Penny and T-Mac flourished in Orlando, and neither won anything by leaving. Shaq was great no matter where he went. The part about guys that the Magic have gone out and brought here is pretty sad, however I will also add that Rashard Lewis was a big part of the Magic getting to the Finals. He hit some big time buzzer beaters that year.
