sidenote- a 13 yr old orlando boy was arrested for killing his 8 yr old brother over dessert. the mother said she knew that her oldest son was capable of doing this. WHAT????? we now have kids that are capable of doing this stuff? and she knew it????? how did it get this bad that she says her son is capable of this? and why didnt she or anyone else doing anything about it? great parenting there.

and before someone says, "oh, that can happen anywhere." i have heard that over and over and over again on this forum. well, you are running out of excuses and it happens here more. just admit it.

Yes, maybe so. Not arguing that but in the back of my mind I really do think that since they're going through so much growth, that even their real estate is not falling apart like every where else, they will end up with lots of problems. As it is, education is a huge concern in NC, unless you can afford private school, kids are juggled from here to there with families scrambling from one end of town to another, or opting for homeschooling, the infrastructure is totally inefficient to accommodate the growth and all the "transplants" from N, S, W and E. NC has state tax and other taxes. Still low salaries, unemployment. I mean, I don't see the advantage of leaving Florida when we CAN find great areas in Florida without having to make such drastic changes.

Seminole County, Tampa area, even north Palm Beach County. Can't recommend here because the demographic mix (knowing you ),but I think you would even like it better here than Orlando.

But yeah, its those darn teens and godless northerners who have ruined everything!

Honestly, some of you folks will remain clueless your entire lives. It is both comical and pathetic at the same time.

The Bible Belt = good behavior and morals....whats wrong with not stealing, raping, murdering, and just being an overall selfish society....with some bad apples like everywhere but more good influences for those bad apples to follow in thier communities

Orlando = everyman makes his own standard and follows only the rules that his standard will let him follow but if he needs he can break those rules and this kind of behavior is what i see in Orlando...just drive around town for 4 hours straight on a day off and see the attitudes and the arrogance of the younger people driving in thier honda civics with that sound they make as if it has some explosive kind of engine....and then tell me these kids can do without God ...because thier parents sure havent taught them to be humble

your right thaspecial, i'm not THAT religious, but if these kids had better morals, behavior, and a concern for other ppl other than themselves, it would make living in orlando, and many other places a better place.

NO NO NO there is no way NC has a better quality of life then Fl. I was born in Fl and moved to NC looking for a better quality of life because the life I had grown up with in Florida was gone. I am trying sooooo hard to get back to Fl., old Florida might be gone but even new Florida with NY/NJ transplants is better than NC. The pay here is horrible, the cost of living is out of site and the beaches are not nearly as nice (very dirty, trash everywhere) and not to be picky but it really does smell horrible everywhere, must be the mills, plants and farms.

the ny/nj transplants is better than being in nc? we disagree there. the pay in nc is horrible? and florida's is better? ha! and the cost of living? out of site? nc is cheaper.

i like florida's beaches better too, but the rest of your post... not real accurate.

"I just want to say that most native Floridians, such as myself, are not the problem with Florida. If you meet one of us, you will hear things like....please, thank you mam or sir, yes sir/mam, no sir/mam, Could I help you with that?, Here let me open the door for you, or at the very least we are the one's waving & smiling"

i know great2bagator. i am a native also, and i have seen the changes, and i know there are still some areas in fla where people are still polite, courteous, and friendly. the problem is, these places are getting so few and far between, that many folks are up and leaving, but i cant say that i blame them though really.
