We are scheduled to be driving down this Friday from St. Louis to Orlando arriving Saturday am. The plan is to go to Legoland and then check into Disney for hotel and all of next week. But I keep looking at the weather channel and it keeps showing storms, aftermath of the hurricane possibly? But I keep hearing its like that down there anyways? So I dont know, do I cancel my trip or is it still safe to come down? Thanks!

By Friday and Saturday? I can't imagine that Florida would be still effected by Isaac. Now its possible you could run into remnants of it on the drive down from Missouri though. Keep checking Weather Channel. Be safe!

Well I keep looking at next weeks weather on weather channel and they are showing thunderstorms, etc for all of next week so far? Is that just the normal weather and not Isaac?

We have thunderstorms in our forecast just about everyday from June - Sept.

Almost without fail it will show thunderstorms every day in an extended forecast for Orlando. I would be looking at that chance of rain percentage. 30% is a typical day.

I have lived in Florida all my 72 years, and after most hurricanes etc. the weather is clear and hot for the next week. So as they say "Come on down"

Okay, its 30% and 20% until next Wed. and Thurs. when it goes to 60%. But it is making me feel better that this is the norm and not the hurricane. Thank you!

In fact, right after the hurricane is usually the nicest weather, since the storm blows all the bad weather away, at least for awhile.

Frankly we really don't need weather forecasters in Orlando in the summer. The weather forecast is as follows:

Daytime highs in the low 90's with a 60% chance of afternoon thunderstorms and scattered showers. Night time lows in the low to mid 70's.

We are watching a tropical wave coming off of the coast of Africa. There is a possibility that it might develop into tropical storm related activity.

And I didn't need to spend $100K on a fancy college education to make a clear and accurate forecast!

Annerk's weather on the 1's. Most dependable forecast in CFL.
