usually, i am the one complaining about the way ppl drive in orlando, and how rude and aggressive they can be at times. well, let me re-phrase that, they are rude and aggressive a lot. anywho, my wife called me as she was on the 408, and she had just gone threw a toll-plaza. she said she was staying in HER lane after coming through the toll plaza, and stayed straight. a man then cut her off as he came in to her lane. all he had to do was go behind her and merge in that way, but this is orlando, he had to speed up and cut her off instead. so, annoyed, she honked at him. well, the man threw his cigarette at her intentinally.
i know this doesnt sound like a big deal, but i'll be damned if my wife is going to get cut off in traffic by some a$$hole, and then he throws a cigarette at her? i was pissed. it doesnt seem like much of an incident, but we have been more pissed off driving here in the last yr or so then we have ever been probably combined elsewhere. |

Well, the drivers around here just seem to be pure idiots.I don't really have many rude driver stories (got the FL state bird once in Boca, semi-deserved, had to cut some guy off to get on the turnpike, thats all I can think of so far), but I almost went head on with some person driving down Oakland Park Blvd going the wrong way(huge 6 lane road) today. We seem to have an abundance of idiots on the road like no other place that don't know how to stop on red, go on green, drive on the right side of the road, lack any concept of when to go at an intersection, stay in their lane, do the speed limit, or handle those friggin roundabouts. I don't drive aggressively, but it just amazes me how some of these people get their licenses down here. I honestly don't know whats worse; driving with a bunch of airheads, or driving with a bunch of @ssholes. I have to agree that drivers are better virtually anywhere in this country than Florida. My husband was driving down 441 months ago and witness one of those A%$H*&%# weaving, cutting people off, being rude, until he ran a red light and went under a truck cutting the top of his little honda off. It was not a pretty site, and he is no longer with us. Think about that if you are one of these really rude drivers who like to take chances.

Unfortunately people here always seem to be in a hurry and drive with their butts instead of their brains. I've had that happen to me more times than I can count.

Haha. I love the way you put that. Yup, it would behoove everyone to drive sensibly and as if there will be a tomorrow. We would all arrive at our destinations safely.

I tend to be a speeder, but just to be safe. Once on I-75 in a group of cars I encountered one of those fart can cars weaving in and out of traffic so when I got him two cars back I sped up to break free from the pack. The little rice burner did the same and passed me, I was going about 80 or so before I slowed down. By the time I passed Sheridan street traffic slowed significantly as people were looking at an overturned car, it was the same one! I love it when idiots get what they deserve.
