What's one that isn't impossible to break in to, and the pay is reasonable? Something that is doing well in the central Florida region. So far, I have looked at machining, HVAC, and welding. Any suggestions are great appreciated . Thank you.

I don't have any experience with it but would say HVAC of the three could be the best option. I do know from my experience with having work done that some companies still have an apprentice position where you more or less learn on the job. It also seems that with Florida being Florida, it's a trade that will always be in demand. I think if you present yourself well, are reliable and kind of a "go-getter" it'll help you considerably. Good luck!

Diesel mechanic. Demand never dropped. Lake County Vo-Tech has a good program and will assist with apprenticeships.
