Default W. Orange County Trick or Treating

Can anyone tell me the best neighborhoods in West Orange County for trick or treating? I've never been out in this area before and I don't want to take the kids to places where people don't expect trick or treaters. We live in Ocoee and are willing to go to Winter Garden/Oakland/Apopka.

Thanks!

When I grew up we trick-r-treated where we lived. I never thought to go somewhere else but to my neighbors. It wasn't until I lived in Celebration for a few years, I realized that people actually commuted to get candy You may want to check your local area Malls to see if they are doing anything. There is also Disney which does it in the parks.

I agree with nb_mitch. I live in a popular subdivision that gets van loads of kids I have never seen before. It would be better if parents who live in areas without sidewalks or on busy roads just take their kids to the malls or fall festivals.

We are going to do downtown Winter Garden as the stores give out candy and skip the neighborhoods. There is a open house (I think it's open to everyone) at the cool house on Oakland Ave, on the border of Oakland and WG -- so we'll go there with friends and bring our kids.
