I was walking around the neighborhood and there was a dog in someone's back yard and he was plainly underfed. His ribcage, shoulder blades and thigh bones were protruding. He was walking around the back yard with his nose on the ground looking for food.

Who do I call to get this animal taken away from the animals who own him now?

How to Report Animal Cruelty - Orange County Animal Services, Orlando, FL

If you suspect animal abuse, then you need to act. In Orange County, you can call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477) or call Orange County Animal Services at 3-1-1. In both cases, you can remain anonymous. For more information about what to do if you suspect animal cruelty, check out our Animal Abuse Prevention page on our website or contact us at (407) 254-9249.

Hope you can get that dog some help. I can't describe the hate I have for someone who would do that to an animal.

I saw a man who appeared dirty and hungry today.

In fact I see them everyday in the paradise that is Orlando.

Although I never thought to post a topic about it on a 'City-Data' forum.

It's really sad. If someone can't take care of their dog, they need to surrender him. I'm glad your are willing to help and you are doing the right thing. Please keep us updated.
