My family and I will be relocating from Tamarac FL for the DH job we found a home that fits the families needs in this area I have a 12 yr old son schooling isn't a issues since he is in a virtual school. We are in our mid 30s. We will be visiting next Thursday to make our rounds with the real estate agent to make our final selection. What are the con's of this area besides most homes are vacation rentals ?

Are you renting or buying?

Personally I wouldn't live in a neighborhood that allows short term renters. You end up with transience which invites crime. If you are renting it wouldn't be terrible for a few months until you could get your bearing, but I wouldn't buy there for sure. Resale could be difficult as people don't want to live in a short term community, and investors are beginning to shy away from that concept as well.

That area is OK, not great, not terrible. I would look to the area just north of the Magic Kingdom up to Winter Garden Village, Clermont north of Sawgrass, Hunters Creek, or Dr. Phillips and consider pretty much anything in Osceola or Polk County as a last resort.

Default Indian Ridge

Hi PQ4evr---

Just curious if you moved into Indian Ridge. If so, can you explain how you like it there. My two daughters
are relocating and found a house for rent in there. Any information will be very helpful!!

Thanks!

We settled on a home in Ocoee it is NW. Ocoee is quiet family oriented. I was told by our relocation specialist Seminole county has better school districts I was not concerned about that because my son is enrolled in a online school.

Thank you for replying back so fast! You work in the Disney area, right? How long does it take for you to get to work?

My hubby is working there Disney made the initial contact and took a total of 2 monthes with the holidays. He was contacted before Thanksgiving and with all holidays between it was slow. Once after the first everything moved at lighting speed.

Awesome! But I really was wondering how long of a drive it was from Ocoee to Disney area. I will be living near Downtown Disney and didn't want to be to far away from them.
