Have absolutely No fear of living in Kissimmee, Fl....very safe, however, residing in a Gated Community may help some, but have been here for years & have Never had one problem.

Do you feel a gate helps that much? I think a longer entrance is better if anything. The gate may slow down someone who wants to get in by a couple minutes.

192 is ghetto.. Drugs and crime. But if your not involved you should be ok. Crime is everywhere, go to north OBT or Pine hills at night and I guarantee you will get robbed.
I agree, a traffic accident is MUCH more likely to be a cause of your harm or death. And with Kissimmee drivers you need to drive very defensively.

No, a gate doesn't assist too much since security occassionally will allow some in without notifying the owner, but does ward off folks who can't get through in their cars. Now if they can hop the fences, hey...but, have heard some stories that the hired hands have robbed a few here and there knowing the schedule of their customer. There is crime no matter where you live on this earth.

Kate where in Poinciana do you live? there are some pretty scary areas of Poinciana so i would look around!...
For the most partPoinciana is safe now thanks to the PCSO and OCSO but there was a time that it was getting outta hand!

every statee and city has crime but kissimee has some nice positives here are mine
my kids loved it,great neighbor hood,nice schools  im actually moving back in a few months only moved for job relocation but i found a new job and is in the process of moving back
