Hello.
We are looking to buy a home in seminole county. We are looking in the Retreat at Wekiva, Berington Club, and Timuacuan. Does anyone have any thoughts about these neighborhoods. Or suggestions for others??
Thanks!!

hi em! Retreat at Wekiva, Berington Club, and Timuacuan are wonderful communites, and so is Sylvan Lake, The Cove, and the preserve at astor farms. the retreat at wekiva is a newer community, and they have zero lot line. berington club is gorgeous and timuacuan is a golf community. all of them are minutes to I-4, and close to the 417. hope that helps!

Dear em4444

All of the communities you listed are very nice. Have already visited these communities? Have you considered Heathrow, Alaqua, Alaqua Lakes, or any of the other gated communities in the Lake Mary area? What are you looking for in a community? Are the schools an important issue? My wife & I have lived in Heathrow for 11 years, if you have any questions, please send me an e-mail.

To give you an idea of the orlando area (lived here for 35+ years). Seminole county is pretty much what everyone was talking about in this post. In Seminole county the NorthWest section is consider the high end of the county for now, that is quickly shifting to the the NorthEast, as more and more people are crowded into that section of the county. The schools in Seminole are considered some of the best in the area, but alas are slowly declining as they are getting pretty overcrowded now.

Another area you might look at, if you want space is SouthEast Orange County, east of the Little Econ River. Lots of new subdivisions, and open space. Closer to the attractions, and when the housing prices recover, bound to go up in value.

Jim
