The first house I was in was a 3-bed 2-bath single family home that was 1700sf. The rent on that was only $1295.00 per month with an option to buy.

The second house I was in was the same, but it was 2200sf with a screened in pool. The rent on that was $1350.00 per month.

3+ people per house is exactly what they are doing. It normally adds up to $500 - $700 per month with utilities and cable. Hell I did the same thing when I was in college, but the house I live in was only 2 miles away from my college.

After viewing all the posts (thank you), I realize that Avalon Parks would be much to far away for my spouse's commute. Thank you, everyone!

I'm currently in a (3/2.5) townhome in the MetroWest area that is running me $1450.00 per month, but I'm right on Turkey Lake.

Yes, I live in a 3 level townhome. It's is sweet, but it's a huge pain in the ass when moving heavy stuff.
