That is how we were when we lived there. I don't really understand living in Orlando and not liking/going to the theme parks.

I have disney and universal passes. I tend to stay out of the parks during the summer because huge crowds and uncomfortable temps. I use my universal pass more often since its closer to the city and offers a lot of entertainment, non theme park related, Like concerts and city walk. Having an annual pass is always good to have because if you ever have family or friends come in town to visit you, you better believe they're going to want to spend a couple of days doing the parks, therefor you can join them. The majority of the time I go is for that reason.

That described me almost to a T when I lived there. I actually worked at both parks and could go almost anytime I wanted to for free, but I only went to the parks when out of town family was visiting, or to go to
City walk or PI (when it was open)

Fyi for those not in the know.....you can get free parking at universal and citywalk after 6 with your Florida id
