Default Nick Jr Hotel in Orlando

Hi, I am looking to see if anyone has stayed at the Nick Jr Hotel in Orlando. We have a room booked there for 1 night as we are traveling thru the area & paying a whooping $309 for "Spongebob" room, but I keep hearing how terrible it is, especially going when it is to cold to swim in the pools. Any input would be great!

I have been there twice now and my three children still talk about it almost daily. For me it could have been better but the kids had the time of there lives literally. Did you pay extra for the spongebob room? Because I did not pay for one but they gave it to me anyway because there was one open and either way we were not in our room enough to even care. I suggest doing a breakfast buffet to meet the character but not to pay extra for any of the other activities that they will offer you because there is enough to do there for free. There is a free Dora show, pool side shows and free putt-putt golf. I stayed 2 nights and never left the property. Try avoiding a room that faces a pool because it can get pretty loud pool side. I wish the property was a tad cleaner but the staff was very friendly. I live in Kissimmee and my children have done EVERYTHING in town and staying here was probably the best thing they have done. It is like staying at a water park so just keep that in mind regarding the bill. Have fun and let me know if you have any other questions.

Also, one thing to keep in mind if you are staying one night is that you can check in as early as 8 AM even if your room is not available yet and go to the pools until it is. Check out is 11 the next day but all you are allowed to enjoy the property the rest of the day. Also, it is not cold yet (it is in the 80's still) and when it is I believe the pools are heated so don't worry about the cold too much.

deana is on a distinguished road
Hi,

I stayed there in August and it was the most disgusting hotel I have ever been in. The room was filthy and the food was gross. We ordered lunch, each took 2 bites and tossed it out after spending nearly $ 30 bucks. The pool was just as bad so instead of using it I took my son who is 3 into the tot area. To make things worse one kid pooped in the pool and they closed it down which sent all the kids into the tot area. Had to take my son out as those big kids nearly trampled my baby. Finished our trip down the street at Gaylord Palms. Now that place is great!

I have probably stayed there 10 times with my kids since before it was Nick Jr (it was a Holiday Inn Family Resort). It is a fabulous KIDS place. I have 3. They absolutely love it! My husband and I have the attitude that when we are in Kissimmee, IT IS NOT FOR US! We have found it clean enough but at times noisy and crowded. There is nothing like it anywhere else. We would never expect a great meal but for the kids, it is wonderful!

deanna - they clear the pool out every few hours to clean because the pool does not have chlorine but uses that reverse osmosis or something. Also, I did not find the food bad - can I ask were you ate at? I think that would be good info for the OP.

The Dora Show

The Slime bucket at the big pool

The crowd after getting slimmed

Sorry these are not so great - it was hard finding photos without my kids in them.
