Can anyone suggest a good restaraunt in Orlando (not too pricey) where we can have Thanksgiving dinner?

A real downmarket place is The Golden Corral. A more expensive suggestion is Texas de Brazil down off Kirkman if memory serves, they are more expensive but they are fabulous if your a meat eater.
I would love to hear more suggestions as well. This year it will only be my daughter and I and I hate to cook a HUGE meal for just the two of us. I am actually thinking of going to the Beach on Thanksgiving, weather permitting so would have to look for places in the Port Orange, Ponce Inlet area that might be open for us to pop in and have a nice meal. I can't stand the good old tradition of staying home, eating until your sick and then laying around the house all day. |

A few years ago I had a Thanksgiving dinner at Bennigans of Westwood Blvd. Not too expensive and I really liked the setting.

If you can splurge a little and go for an "experience" check out the Gaylord Palms. It's a beautiful resort with different restaurant choices. Last year we ate at the Villa de Flora and you would not believe the buffet! It begins at noon and goes until 10 p.m. The food was excellent and the setting beautiful. The resort is decorated for Christmas and if you're really into having fun you can see the ICE exhibit and ice skate too after dinner.

I was thinking of ordering something from Too Jays, they are a deli that is in several locations around Orlando. They do a really wonderful Turkey and mashed potatos. Not too mention some o the best desserts in the world. |

How about a Florida-style Thanksgiving? By that I mean getting some crab lags and shrimp at the grocery and making some frosty drinks. One Thanksgiving it was just my Mom and me and that's what we did. It was great. No heavy cooking or cleaning and a great meal. I am sure if Thanksgiving started in Florida, that's what they would have had to eat. Start a new tradition!

Go over to trip advisor dot com and look under the Orlando forums. I do believe I saw a discussion going on about this subject. Good luck! |

Check out Liberty Tree Tavern.
Magic Kingdom/Liberty Square, right across from the Haunted Mansion. This restaurant is actually themed after the Pilgrims era. They even dress the part. (If you're int that sort of thing. If not, the food is good anyway!) MDK |

Disney restaurants are going to be a sure thing, and high quality. You don't have to pay admission fees if you stick to resorts. California Grill, Flying Fish, Shula's. There are tons of great restaurants open then because Disney forces their employees to work every holiday.

I have heard that the Disney and better restaurants book really fast. If you haven't done so, make a reservation quickly!
