Well, there has to be 10,00 restaurants, hotels and other tourist stuff in the area. I'd get the paper and check the ads.

In Orlando you can pretty much pick and choose as there are tons of restaurants. The busier and more expensive it is the more you'll make.A place like Cheesecake factory is always hiring to maintain the amount of servers their restaurants need. There's one in Winter Park and one in the Mall at Millenia.

I work in the hospitality industry here in orlando. The convention center is a possibility. Typically they have enough people on their full time staff but they hire on-call banquet servers. The workload tends to be greatest in late winter-early summer so now we could be a wise time to fill out an application. Their HR office is located in the trailers near the new convention hall (North/South Bldg). Also, check out the Peabody hotel which is right next to the convention center. Both these places generally pay $30-$40/hr. but it can be competitive to get shifts. Rosen Hotel is another possibility (also near convention center). You may want to check out some of the upscale golf courses as they hire on call banquet servers. Friend of mine works at the Lake Nona Golf course and loves it.

You really should post in the Orlando board area for more ideas. My kids came to Orlando and had server jobs the first week they arrived. They just got dressed up and stopped in and filled out applications. If you go to Sand Lake Rd. or International Drive you'll finds tons of restaurants to choose from. They work at a more upscale restaurant on Sand Lake and make really good money. Good luck!
