I have spent some time reading through many informative posts here learning as much as I can in anticipation of a move. Well, the time has come & I have been approved for a transfer to the Lockheed-Martin facility east of Orlando on Global Innovation Circle. We have two children in elementary school so, based on everything I've read, I'd like to stay in Seminole county for the top rated schools. What specific neighborhoods around this Lockheed facility would provide us with the good schools, low crime, community that we seek? We plan to rent for 6-12 months to get a feel for the area before we commit to buying. When it is time to buy our budget will be $180k-$230k. I hear alot of good things about Lake Mary - what kind of a commute would that be?

Thanks for all your help.

i would recommend Winter Springs or Oviedo. They are the closest seminole county communities to Lockeed Martin. Both very family friendly, and safe areas.

I agree with the above post. Lake Mary is very nice, but I would think its going to be a 35-40 minute commute taking expensive toll roads (417 to 408). Oviedo and Winter Springs are definitely worth checking into. I would recommend you avoid buying in the 32828 and 32825 zip codes, just my opinion.

Thanks for the info. Do you have some zip codes that are good ones to look into? What is Chulota like? Is the Space Coast too far of a commute?

Like Rural ? I would go more 32765 or 32766 or 32732 for really rural.
City /Suburbs? 32792, 32707 32708 32751 in Maitland, 32730 as well

even some nice neighborhoods in 32701

If you need some more help with narrowing it down or school info, contact me via pm
