The best place i've found poodlestix is called Boston's Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach. There are 2 locations, one in Orlando. However we always drive over to NSB and then go for a walk on the beach after dinner. They've even got our New England Clam Bellies!!!!!! Fresh food, awesome atmosphere, and delicious!!!!!!

poodlestix,
If a steak and cheese is a cheesesteak, then the recent thread "Any Philly Transplants in Orlando?" has some suggestions. -Harry |

Well, I personally am from Southern Calif, but my husband was born & raised in Manchester, NH. Cool! Maybe you two know each other from school or something. Did you go to Central High with him & Adam Sandler?

If you get to New Smyrna Beach, Big Joe's Subs on the corner of Canal St. & U.S. 1 makes a good steak & cheese sub. The super steak & cheese includes mushrooms and peppers as well as the steak, onions, and cheese. I've become a regular customer. It's usually really crowded between 11 & 1, so you might want to try a little later. Or order it to go and drive to the beach and eat it while you watch the waves, gulls, pigeons, and people.

Hi Galena, thanks for the suggestion! How far is New Smyrna Beach from Titusville?

No one mentioned Miami Subs yet??? There's still a few of 'em around.... Last time I went before I left they weren't quite as good as they used to be, but they had a nice way of getting the cheese to melt into and fuse with the bread somehow that I always liked...

LOL...sorry but it is so funny to me that some people don't know what steak and cheese is...and no u won't find any down in florida like up north...that is my favorite grinder...or should I say sub?...they don't put enough meat on em down here and they like to put banana peppers on everything...don't get me wrong though, i love banana peppers but not on my cheesesteak

Try Duffie's on university and dean in east Orlando. They also have good hot pastrami subs.
