Okay Yanks, where's the good steak n' cheese? (Orlando, Winter Park: resort, hot)

Any one mentioning Miami Subs for a true Philly Cheese Steak belongs in this bastian of chain restaurant garbage where the local citizens think that it is a gift that there is a firehouse subs in the vicinity of downtown. If you tried to serve any cheese steak from this cesspool in Philly you would be beatin like a drum. Why mention this crap is viable, have you never traveled within a 25 mile radius of Disney World???

Yes it's true that many larger and busier places, like Orlando, have many chain restaurants but that's because they do good business in places like that. Orlando is a mostly tourist place and tourists like to eat at these places, I don't find all the food to be that bad...I actually liked some of the places when I lived in Orlando. If you hate everything about a tourist town, then move somewhere else, it's as simple as that. Why stay there and bash it to hell when u are so unhappy? I just don't get it.

No it`s not Philly steak and cheese but there are some places that are darn good you just have to look and ask around. There are alot of transplants so I`m fairy sure you will find an authentic Philly place.

Okay I lied, my husband reminded me where you can get a good cheesesteak and awesome pizza. There was this place I loved...Brooklyn Pizza. They are a small place with only 3 restaurants in the Orlando area...no chain restaurant here for all you Orlando bashers....lol. There is one on Pershing Ave that I used to eat at but there is also one on International Drive and in Winter Park....the food is brooklyn style which is just as good as philly when it comes to great food

From what I understand a "True Philly Cheesesteak" basically has cheesewhiz on it.... That being the case I don't much care for authenticity here, just something that tastes good....
