Activities for kids in Disney Kissimmee area (Orlando, Celebration: relocate, vacation)

I've recently relocated to Kissimmee from the UK with my husband and 7 year old son. We live in the Disney area of Kissimmee (between Disney and Hwy 27). My son goes to private school in Orlando and so doesn't have any friends in the area in the evenings or weekends.

Any tips on activities he can do to make friends locally or are there any other families in this area wanting to make friends?

are you serious? there is so many things for kids here it makes me jealous... all I aver had was chuck e cheese to look forward too..LOL

theres monkey joes bouncy house place in the big mall down at the end of international where the outdoor shops store is..
also there is a skateboarding park inside that mall too..

Thanks for the link. Really helpful for things to do with parents. What about 'regular' stuff like baseball clubs or meeting friends for just hanging out in the neighborhood on bike. We live in a vacation home community so our neighbours never last longer than 2 weeks!

Check out Celebration and all of their activities. I know they have a cub scout/boy scout troop and other things like that.
