Hi there,

I am looking for some options for homes in the Central Florida area. We would like to be in a larger master planned community/live work, golf is a plus, anywhere in the Central Florida area is great. We have already looked at Celebration and this is the kind of community we would like but I dislike how it is directly on a busy tourist street. Same goes for Hunter's Creek.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Baldwin Park is one, but I don't believe there's any golf.

Stoneybrook East and West, Lake Nona, and Heathrow would all fit the bill.

Yes, I did like Stoneybrook West. I was hoping for something with shopping though. Any other suggestions?

Horizon's West area is Semi-Live/Work/Play. Several "Villages" with conservation and trails planned throughout. Check out Neighborhoods of Summerport and Lakes of Windermere for established neighborhoods, then the Lakeside Village which is being developed now with lots of new construction options. Several nearby Golf courses, Winter Garden Village up the Road, and the Lakeside Village Center (though at this point it is more of small strip center). In the next 2-5 years they will start on the main Horizon's west town center.

Otherwise, the above mentioned options are a bit more live/work with the newer "downtowns".

One other option though, check out College Park near Downtown Orlando. It's the original live/work neighborhood before that was even a concept. You have the main street, Edgewater Dr, with your shops, offices, and restaurants. With older homes and many rebuilt or renovated homes all biking or walking distance to Edgewater. Plus you have Dubsdread Golf course.

What price range were you looking within?
