Could I get some opinions on getting a teaching job in Orange County. There seems to be a decent amount on the OCSB website, but some other posts speak a lot about competition and waiting months for a job. What's the real deal for a ms / hs teacher with a pretty good resume?
Also, does anyone know if Orange County has an internal transfer system? Would it be easy to leave a bad school after a year or two for a better one? Thanks |

orange county is a pretty decent district to work for ...i worked there 12 years before moving to sc for higher pay .......the problem is you need to start early as it take a good month or so to get all paperwork cleared .... but you can send resumes out before paerwork is cleared if a principal is interested they could help speed it up..... it depends on your area if there is much competition ...most positions can be found pretty easily .... orange does offer the best pay and benefits in central fl ......there is an internal transfer process ....you can decide that on your own at the end of the school year during the year the principal has to release you....good luck let me know if you have questions about schools etc ...
