"No regard for human life" - Orlando policewoman
Did anyone hear about the awful story of the 51 yr old man at the gas station pumping gas? AWFUL.
A man was pumping gas, and approached by several men in a vehicle. The men demand money, and the man pumping gas refuses. So one of the robbers shoots him in the face/mouth. He was not killed, thank God.
I think the policewoman says it best when states, "there is no regard for human life anymore." How AWFUL.

That is horrible. We were down in Fla. just a few weeks ago and some of the things on the news were shocking, to say the least. One of the worst news stories involved a 16 year old boy who was waiting at the end of his driveway for a school bus. Passersby threw gas on him and tried to light him on fire. Just barbaric.

I read about that story the other day ...i always watch my back at gas stations because i was robbed at one and this story isnt the only time this has happened here lately...ive seen some other stories of people pumping gas in the Orlando area and someone will drive up to them like they did this guy and then try to rob them ....There isnt anymore regard for life and this isnt really anything new in Florida ......Growing up in Miami i knew some people back in highschool that would drive around just looking for innocent people to jump....alot of people think crime happens because of a need like money or drugs ....or because of revenge.....but i knew lots of people that just did stuff for fun because they were bored.....some people say you shouldnt live in fear , but nowadays it's kinda hard...i always look at the people that pull up behind me at stop lights...and if anybody is driving behind me near my house "anytime" i just keep going and make u turns and do whatever i can so no one can get close to me....if you dont know my phone number....i ain't stoppin to talk

Thanks for the info. We are seeing stories like this everyday now. My question is why are there so many guns on our streets??? A tourist was interviewed after that robbery on I-drive the other day and said this would never happen in England because they do not have the gun problem like we do. The randomness of these crimes is what worries me the most.

Orlando is dangerous
Yep,
I'm looking to get out of here. That guy that got shot on Raleigh while detailing a car is about 2 miles from my house. I have been thinking of getting out of Florida altogether and going to the state who's slogan is "Smiling Faces, Beautiful Places." People are much friendlier in SC. I'm tired of all the people running red lights, I'm tired of all the people tailgating me and honking their horns if I don't move immediately when the light changes-you got too wait 5 seconds for everyone to finish running the lights. I'm also tired of all the foreigners who won't communicate to me in English even though they are in America and our langauage here is English, NOT Spanish, portugese, arabic, french, dutch, chinese, or japanese. I'm just tired, period of all the rudeness in this town.
