Post I am looking for info about Orlando Area

Hi,

I am looking for information about the best neighborhoods in the Orlando area. I want to rent an apartment or townhouse before taking the decision of moving permanently there. At the time I live in South Florida. The area most be family friendly because I have two girls ages 6 and 8. Also I would like to find out what amenities I have around such as hospitals, parks, ect. I was looking into some Town Houses in the Millennia area but I don't know the area. In fact I don't know anything from that area just the basic as tourist The complex I was looking at is:

Royal Springs
1717 West Holden Avenue
Orlando, FL 32839

I found them on www.rent.com

Thanks,

Millie

You should not move there ....that is in some ghetto territory...but if you still wanna come then that's all on you....I wouldn't really consider that being the "Millenia" area so to speak.....its very tricky around there....Yeah the Mall of Millenia is for rich people and they are building that little area up with nice things but it's all surrounded by ghetto areas....the are that townhouse is in is more like the "Oakridge" area....just ask people on here about Oakridge

The Millenia area is much better than the Holden area IMO.

I wouldn't suggest going to the Holden area....I grew up there - wouldn't want to move back - lotsa crime/low-income housing.

Depending on where you're working, you might want to consider the Waterford Lakes and Lake Nona areas. A lot of new housing - single family homes and town homes. I built a house in the 32829 area 3 years ago - there's still a lot of construction going on around here - several large townhouse complexes going in.

I would stay put, a lot of people from South Florida are fleeing that area because of crime and congestion. You are not escaping by coming to Orlando. There is as much crime, worse roads, more congestion, no beach and awful chain restaurants. Don't live around the Mall of Milennia, it is surrounded by ghetto. That girl Jennifer Kreese got abducted last year right around the mall.

What will be your income range when you move here? Some of the nicest apartments on the east side of Orlando - closer to UCF - are the income restricted. Two bedrooms are usally in the $700 range but you get more sq feet, washer and dryer, and discounted cable. Not all of them are the greatest, but I lived in one for two years and never had any problems other than noisy neighbors. You won't find them on rent.com, but here's the website. Concord Management : Home

I lived in East Lake, but Mystic Cove is nice too. Let me know if you have any questions, I've visited most of them when I was doing my apt search.

How about trying Seminole County. Especially if you have litte ones attending school. Lake Mary, Longwood, Winter Springs would be some choices. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Good Luck!

I would say winter park or winter springs, forget holden areas that is crap villa Orlando. If you look at a crime map of Orlando, holden heights has alot of homicides and armed robberies, I dont mean just stores but people walking up to you with a gun and robbing you.

I call it the toilet bowl of O-town.
