They Are Called Avalon Reserve And Are Located Just South Of Colonial Dr. On The Right Hand Side About 1 Mile And A Half Up. Its A Pretty Trashy Neighborhood.

I don't think those are section 8 - I think they are income restricted apartments.

my fiances mother inquired on apartments there. we live in deerwood the mobile home community across from fairways on e colonial. I have driven in there and its true. Kids don't move out of the way for cars and teenagers roam the streets. I am 25 and she is 18 and we both agree that neighborhood is not in a good area. Its going to make the crime rise in the avalon area. Bad enough bithlo is right there and bunker hill trailer park.

I'm not sure where these are. They are building some apartments at the corner of Avalon Pk. Bld. and 50/Colonial, but they have a different name though.

I have heard that there will be more than that as well. I have insight from some of the school admin in the area. I'll keep you updated if I hear anything new.

really. i guess they are chopping down all the trees to add apartments and to make the area more congested.

What's true? That it's not a good neighborhood? Maybe I'm thinking of a diffrent complex but the only complex I know by Avalon Reserve is decent. They're managed by Cameo and have complexes all over Florida. They are income restricted, but I haven't heard anything about the crime rate there being any higher than other complexes in Orlando. I certainly doubt it'll really impact the community financially as there are several income restricted complexes in Waterford and the houses there are still overpriced. As for as kids being in the streets and not moving, it'd be tough to find a complex that doesn't have that problem.

go to apartmentratings.com and look up avalon reserve. call the OCSO and ask them about the complex. There are a few nice apartment complexes around there but avalon reserve is the one hidden in the back. kids dont need to be in the streets after dark period.
