I keep seeing it posted that MetroWest is crime ridden. That may have been the case not so long ago, but no longer holds true. The true area of MetroWest (many places claim to be MetroWest that aren't),West of Kirkman, South of Raliegh, has cleaned up a lot since the new prevention-plan went into affect in June or July. In fact, violent crimes since have bottomed out. I never feel unsafe there, and niether does my girlfriend. In fact, I know several young women who feel safe there. Yes, Pine Hills is just down the road. However, the extra police we now have (you can't turn a corner without seeing one), seem to like pulling over anything that looks like it came from Pine Hills. You can call it profiling if you want to (I suppose it is) but it works. Bottom line: the high crime in MetroWest is gone for now.

I am not just saying this becuase I am loyal to the place, in fact I plan on moving in the next 18 months. I just don't want to see people misinformed.
