I found a place that was simple and I liked it in the Winter Park/Seminole County area. Maybe I'll end up there.
What part of Orlando did you drive through??? I definetly would not call Orlando a "sleepy town".. The Orlando metro area currently has over 2 million residents and is one of the fastest growing cities in America..

I think he's coming from Miami, which is pretty hectic all-around compared to Orlando.

With that being said, some areas of Orlando are still pretty active (like the tourist areas and Downtown). But the rest of the metro is going to be more laid back and spread out, especially in Osceola and Lake counties.

Yes, I'm coming from Miami. Yes, it's hectic down here. You feel like you have people on top of you at all times. Small sized city packed with people like a tin of sardines. So when I visited Orlando..not downtown..it felt very different. Spread out and not so populated. Which I think I'll like, but it will get some getting used to.

Yes Orlando doesn't have natural borders like the Everglades to the west and Atlantic to the East so it's much less dense. It a breath of fresh air once you get to used to it. Of course there are still places that are constantly busy like parts of Miami (Colonial and Semoran) but in general it's closer to what you find in northern Broward county.

I love Miami, one of the best parts about Miami was the night life, and how it was full, and Ferraris, Bentleys, and all kinds of super cars passed by. Drag Queen shows outside of clubs, strip clubs, cigar shops, I loved it, and I miss it. Orlando is boring in my opinion but I can't lie, I am good at picking up girls and guys to have sex with and sex can be found almost anywhere so I got what I need here for now. Only in Orlando for school really.

true, tasteless, but still true.

I signed my lease today. But I drove back down to Miami for the weekend. Sunday I'll drive back up for good. My parents are in Miami, so it's convienent that it's only a 4 hour drive in case of emergencies or to just visit. I'm close to my parents and they are getting up in age. I'm sure I'll discover positive things about Orlando. I'm not into the nightlife or partying. I want a place more family friendly.

Is that bad? I wouldn't want Orlando to become another Miami, but I think having a mixture of people is fine.
