I'm 28 and currently live in Jacksonville. I'm a single father with full custody. Basically, I'm looking to relocate down to that area for work and am unsure where to go. I'm basically looking to move closer to family for help with my son every now and then. As someone single and young, I do still enjoy going out every now and then, so a babysitter at night I can trust is the goal.

What I'm looking for? The places I'd be working are in Palm Coast, Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Deltona, and Port Orange. I'd move around to those areas for work with the occasional Orlando drive. My family lives in Flagler Beach. Obviously I don't want to be a hour away from there or I'd just stay in Jacksonville.

I'd like to have nightlife for my age group, be in a safe area, and proximity to the beach would be nice. If anyone is familiar with Jacksonville, I was a huge fan of the riverside area. The nightlife there was ideal.

Please let me know what you guys think!

It's an economically depressed area largely and jobs are not readily available outside of part-time service sector jobs. If you're asking which area is nicer to live in I would opt for either Port Orange or Palm Coast.

I already have a job, so that isn't a concern. I'm checking to see what area would be nicer to live in and fit the criteria I was asking about.
