I'm scouting out potential places to live in Winter Park as I'm moving to the area for work in the next couple of months. I've never been to this part of Florida before and won't be able to visit beforehand, unfortunately.

Winter Park Village seems nice, though I wish it were closer to downtown/Park Ave., but anyway ... does anyone here know anyone who lives there or has lived there recently? What is their opinion about the place? Management? The general makeup of other residents - ie ages, lifestyles, etc.?

I'm a single, quiet, professional female in my late 40's seeking a safe, quiet place. I have to be up early every day - 5ish, so can't live in a place with loud music blaring at all hours, or stuff like that. I'm also not a fan of dozens of kids running around waking me up early weekend mornings, but I know that's a tall order in complexes such as these.

Anyway, any assistance is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Why can't you visit? Not sure where in Maine you are, but unless it's someplace very remote you could fly in on a Friday and home on Sunday and get a decent feel for the three or four areas that might fit what you seek in that time frame.

Where in Winter Park Village are you looking? WP Village is a shopping/residential complex that offers multiple housing options. It's a fun area and not too loud, you are also closer to Park Ave than you think and a 10 minute stroll will get you on the Avenue. I grew up in Winter Park and left just last year, message me if you want any details! I know Maitland and Winter Park very well
