Default Relocating to Lake Buena Vista - need help!!!

I have been reading this forum for a while now and need your advice.

I have a superb opportunity to transfer from Nashville TN to Orlando to work in our new Disneyworld facility. I have 3 kids ranging in ages from 3 to 16 that are all currently in private school.

Can anyone recommend a decently priced christian school close to Disney and a few really nice housing communities around them. We are looking for a 5 bedroom, 3000+ sft hse for around 400,000-450,000.

In addition, any advice about this moving decision would be appreciated. I know there is crime but it is everywhere, I know taxes are high but lets just say thats the price one pays. Is this a good place to raise kids? Are there areas that dont feel like you are in the middle of rush hour traffic??

Your comments are valued and appreciated!!

Hmm...try the Dr. Phillips area. You can just head up Apopka Vineland Road and although the traffic will be heavy at peak times, it's generally not congested by Orlando standards. Mostly safe, attractive looking family oriented neighborhoods. I'm not sure about private schools though.

Wish I could be of more help with the christian schools, but I do know there are plenty of them in the area.

For 5 bedroom 3000 sf+ homes in good neighborhoods, and near enough to Disney, I would check out as far as Winter Garden, Stoney Brook West area, Dr. Phillips/windermere, Belle Isle, and maybe Hunters Creek.

Winter Garden, Stoney, and Hunters creek being area's you can find much more house for the $. In fact there are slim pickings of homes that meet your criteria in Dr Phillips and belle isle area's. Many people that work in and around Disney live in the Winter Garden area because there are many back ways you can get to the area without taking I-4.
