Sure!

Orlando is a small Forida city. The smallest "large" city in Florida. Charlotte has about 700,000 people in the city and Orlando has about 200,000.

Orlando can't touch Charlotte in more ways than one. Who cares about the beaches, Orlando is in the freaking middle of the state.

I give them 2 years and they will be wanting a transfer back to Charlotte!

Just read what all the locals aree saying in all the forums in Florida..about how much they hate Florida...etc!

Get REAL!

Charlotte is AWESOME!

5th fastest growing city in the US and fastest on the East Coast right now.

2,491,650 people in the Metro Charlotte area right now...must not be to bad of a place to live!

Good LUCK!

WOW! Thanks for the responses and PMs. Just to summarize some of the advice given to me:

It must be extremely difficult to be some of you on a day to day basis . If you think living in Orlando is so terrible why not move? Sure move to Charlotte, NC but 'the grass is not as green on the other side' as some may think.

Thanks to those who have given me some positive advice as I have been able to negotiate 15% more in salary and 38% more in relocation expenses. This should help in the transition!

We have decided to move to Stoneybrook West or Independence.

It is not the Charlotte is once was, due to the influx of people from the Northeast. There is no more 'Southern Feel' to the city. I have been here since 1987 and my wife was born and raised in Concord, NC. Not one person in our neighborhood is from below the mason dixon line.

Wish you guys luck on the final transformation of Charlotte to the New New York or New New Jersey.
