Default Relocating

Hi, does anyone know any good areas in the suburbs of Orlando. We are relocating and looking to spend around 585,000 to 650,000 on a house. I am not worried about jobs because I work for the Fed Gov.

There are some wonderful suburbs of orlando! Maitland, Winter Park, are in Orange County. Then in Seminole County, we have Lake Mary, Sanford, Altamonte Springs, Longwood, Oviedo. It also depends where you would like to be for communiting too. Most people commonly use I-4 or 417 the greenway. If schools are important decision factor, here in Florida we use ratings such as an A, B, or C rating which are based upon FCAT scores. Everyone on the forum will definately help with advice on suburbs of Orlando, and welcome to the area!

Orlando has lots of great suburbs, particularly the ones north of the city. I would highly recommend Altamonte Springs and Maitland for your price range especially. Also, if you didn't mind a long commute to downtown Orlando - Lake Mary is a very affluent area in the region. (Lake Mary is at exit 101 off I-4, whereas Downtown is around exits 81-83.)

The advice I would give to any new Orlando resident is to buy a Sun Pass as soon as possible. The only freeway in the metro area that is not tolled is the I-4, and it is by far the worst traffic-wise.
