Does anyone know how to get a job in this area in the hospital. There has been a an opening for host to deliver food trays to the rooms since Sept. My husband has applied for the position 3 times and has been turned down without an interview. I know he hasn't done this before, but it says no experience. He has a great work history with staying at jobs for 7-10 years. What else could he do? The position remains open.

Maybe they feel he is "overqualified".

I don't know. He's basically done landscaping his whole life. He just wants to get into the hospital for benefits for us. Any other suggestions?

Maybe he should go down to the human resources office of the hospital and ask to speak with someone.

There are other jobs that offer better benefits and hire anyone.
UPS and Starbucks are an example. And you can work them part time and get benefits the same. |

I agree, I would go down to the hospital, resume in hand and ask to speak with someone about the position.

I was thinking about applying for a part time job at Starbucks. Does anyone know how they are as an employer? I have worked in management in the past, are they going to tell me I am overqualified?
