Most people love them, except those without kids and then see a lot of kids. This is definitely a family/kid cruise, so expect lots of kids to be on board. I have heard many positive reports on it.

There are many areas for adults, for children, for teens and for families throughout the ship and on Castaway Cay.

we are "frequent floaters" meaning we've done almost 20 cruises! we've sailed on almost all the cruise lines, and now we stick with royal caribbean. we tried disney once for 3 days, and we didn't care for it. we know a lot of people who adore it, but my daughter didn't enjoy it either. everything shuts down at midnight too, which is okay.......but sometimes you just don't feel like going back to the cabin. Castaway Cay was beautiful though. However, we just didn't enjoy the food quality, shocked that the ship was not clean by what we've come to expect from disney, and the pool was constantly being drained, bleached, and pressure washed because of "accidents". some people absolutely love disney, and go again and again. we just had a totally different experience than i'm sure others have had. i'm sure we're probably the only people that didn't have a good experience. So please don't base your opinion on just my negative comment okay? i'm sure i'll be the only one!

We are planning our first one for May. I can't wait! My brother and his wife have no children but loved it and my best friend and her 5 kids also adore it.

Default Wow

well let me see ive been on the Disney cruise 4 times, ive done a 3 day 2 4days and a seven days and it is by far the best cruiseline i have ever been on.

Great fun for all the family and their kids programme is the best on the seas, heck even on land. We leave our 6 yr old daughter in there and we never hear from her. She drags us to take her to it at 8am and we dont see her until about 10pm.

If you dont take one your missing out.

Nick

We did our first last year - 7 day cruise. We found it extremely nice, however we won't do any more 7 days. 4 days is enough with them.

The rooms are great, food is adequate to great depending on where you eat. The best is the Childrens programs (including teens)..however we felt paying 3 times as much for what truely resulted in having the kids not say "I'm bored" wasn't worth it. 7 days was pushing it for being in the program our youngest went from "never see him" to "can you pick me up" after the 4th day.

Their service is fine, but it's Disney...with all the Disney "magic" and all the Disney Marketing and all the Disney "stick it to ya". Nice thing is if you complain enough Mickey and Minnie will walk your kids off the ship after a private photo session at the private island.... nice remedy I guess.

We prefer RCCL, if it's us well do Carnival as we are out to party. Disney needs to address the adults more - we were bored stiff. We'll do it again for the kids, but just 4 days.

We loved the Disney cruise. There are plenty of place to be around only adults. If you have kids they have daycare for every age.

There is an adults only pool and hot tube are and the spa was adults only.

We had a great time and I would LOVE to go again.

Day care for every age? Does that include adults?

I don't know if they have it for the elderly if thats what you mean. My Mom celebrated her 80th birthday on the ship and she found plenty to do.

If your joking then there is plenty of adult type things to do on the cruise. I personally LOVED the spa and had an unlimited access to the steam room. I spent an hour there everyday.

It actually depends on your "personality type". We don't go on cruises to take part in Spa activities...especially at the higher prices they are offered at on most lines.

We are in out 40's and find that we like to be entertained. Not that we are Carnival junkies...although we do use them from time to time when we could care less about all the formalities of cruises. Yes we do not at any time get dressed up for dinner...if I wanted to do that on my vacation I'd find a funeral parlor to vacation in. We prefer RCCL since we can have some of the Carnival party but it's a bit calmer for the kids.

Our logic -

Max kids - our time is eh - Disney
balance for both - RCCL
us with no kids max party - Carnival
