What to do w/ a 17 month old on our Orlando Vacation (hotels, houses)

Hello Everyone,

Just looking for some info on things to do with our 17 month old on our vaction to Orlando.. We thought he might be to young to enjoy the whole Disney thing I was looking at the Honey I shrunk the kids playground, but unsure if he would be too small, he loves trucks and I was reading about the giant tonka trucks that the have there. Also I saw the lego imagination center and again was unsure about the whole age thing. Any infor will be greatly appreciated.

Disney's Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and SeaWorld would be about the most entertaining for young kids.. 17 months is pretty young to remember any of it!

I believe he's too young for all the parks, I'll wait 'til he's 4yrs. old or so. Also, if you're going to visit , try to visit btwn. Oct-Feb, the weather is much nicer.

You had mentioned the Lego place at Downtown Disney. Depending on what time of year you are coming, they have the water splash fountains there which my kids loved even when they were that young. Just make sure to bring a swim diaper to play in the fountain Downtown Disney - Downtown Disney Marketplace at Walt Disney World

Also, the Rainforest Café has lots of fish and fun stuff to look at in the restaurant and gift shop that can entertain the youngest ones. Many of the area hotels have kiddie pools and sand areas that a 17 month could play in.

If you do want to go to a park, I’d suggest Seaworld for that age. I took my kids all the time when they were that little. Just feeding the sealions and watching the dolphins and the fish up close is fun. They HAD a kids play area, but I haven’t been since they remodeled it. They used to have a bunch of stuff for toddlers, but now it seems to be rides as opposed to sand play and little bounce houses and plastic play houses, so I’d suggest calling them and see if they still have that if you’d like to go there. It’s called Shamu’s Happy Harbor and it’s in the back of the park. Enjoy your vacation!
