The irony is that states like PA and NY have plenty of tolls too plus additional taxes (like the liquor fees from the state stores in PA) along with income and city taxes in both states.

NJ, NY, MA all come to mind quite quickly.

You want Sunshine! You pay tolls or exit right!

My guess is that every expressway in the state will be tolled within 10 years, maybe 15.

The budget killing subsidies of driving are coming to an end.

Is that a joke? Both the PA and NY thruways that run across both states are tolled. And let's not get started on I-95 in NJ or the bridges into NYC.

Truthfully, anyone not from the NE or who never travels to the NE may have no idea about what roads up there have tolls or could care less for that matter, so why the attitudes? The world really does not revolve around the NE USA.

For that matter I really did not realize that any federal built interstates had tolls on them. But then I admit, I do not know everything about everything, and you can learn something everyday.

I-4 will be the next one. Orlando's only 'freeway' I-4 to get toll lanes - procurement of 40yr DBFOM contractor begins - Toll Roads News

We are talking about multiple tolls on one stretch. Not just toll roads.
