Wouldn’t you think with the new tax law the portability portion of it will stimulate the market and get existing homeowners who would like to upgrade or down grade their homes back into the market seriously price their houses to sell in this market? I been waiting for an incentive to down grade and go into something smaller. I held off because went I looked at smaller houses the property tax would have almost doubled every time than what I was paying for my large home. Over the years the save our homes have kept my taxes low. Does anyone else feel the same way and plan to get into the market now to upgrade or down grade their homes. Since prices have been dropping even if I sell my house at a much lower price there are so many good deals on the market that I can still get a much better house for a low price and my property tax will still stay low. It would seem to me that this may be the best time to buy and sell.
