Hello,

I am going to be visiting my parents in FL in a few weeks and I thought it would be a good opportunity to look at wedding dresses with my mother (to avoid her having to make a special trip up to me).

Can anyone recommend a couple bridal shops in the Kissimmee or Orlando area?

If a little background helps - I'm mid-30s and my fiance and I are planning a small, simple wedding. I'm not looking for cheap, but also not looking to spend thousands.

Thanks for any suggestions!

FYI--Most bridal shops require that you make an appointment. They generally can't accommodate walk-in's.

Minerva's, Bridal Solutions, and Calvet are the three I've heard mentioned over and over. My neighbor's daughter bought her dress at Calvet and it was exquisite.

There's a David's Bridal shop in Orlando. The one next to the store where I work on the coast usually has some good prices and pretty dresses under $1000. several girl's I work with got their dresses from david's. My sister got her Mother of the Bride's dress from them, too.

Have your mom make appointments and go have a blast sharing the days you spend at the shops annerk mentioned, too.

Thank you both! Yes, I will definitely call to make an appointment(s). I was just overwhelmed when I did a basic Google search, so I appreciate your help narrowing it down.

Of course they are; but the point is she wants to look at dresses with her mom. She also said she didn't want to spend thousands, so David's is a good affordable option.
