My husband and I just moved to the Lake Nona area from the Westchase area of Tampa. Commuting to work near the Tampa airport was a nightmare even though I was only 11 miles from there - it took me 45 min to an hour sometimes in the morning.
So what areas would you suggest I look at for a new job? In which direction would I have to go to go against the rush hour traffic??
We love the area here so far but I also was wondering where you go to shop, i.e. Bed Bath and other major retailers???

Not sure what you mean by "what areas would you suggest I look at for a new job?"

But for all the major retailers you can hop on the 417 and head to Waterford Lakes. Or hop on the 528 and visit the Florida Mall. Between the two about 10-15 minute drive from Lake Nona, You should be covered for EVERYTHING and not see too much traffic.

Default Lake Nona

There are some new retailers coming N on Narcoosse. you also have some off the 417 around John Young. Waterford isnt too far ... 417 to 408 east exit alafaya and head north a couple blocks.
As to work...hmmm guess that depends on the type of work you want. Lockheed isnt too far away. the new med centers are coming tyo the Nona area, Disney and Universal arent too far. Seaworld has the new water park coming in a few months.
