Hi. My name is April and I'm from Australia. I am looking for accommodation on International Drive for our honeymoon in April 2008. We would like to visit Universal Studios and Seaworld whilst we're in Orlando. Can you recommend any hotels that would be a great location to stay and reasonable priced?

There are many hotels on Turkey Lake Road - that's on the other side of I-4 from International Drive, but allows quick access to Universal, SeaWorld, and I-Drive. You'll want to have a rental car to get around..
Here's an example of reasonable rates: Orlando, Florida - Comfort Suites Orlando - Hotel, Motel, Lodging Or you can try something a bit more pricey: WESTGATE LAKES RESORT AND SPA - 10000 TURKEY LAKE RD ORLANDO, FL 32819 |

The resorts along south I-drive are very nice. Rosen resort, the Peabody. If you're willing to go a little further south there are some really nice places that would seem to be incredible honey moon spots. The Gaylord Palms, Marriot World Center, the Venetian, the Floridian. Also there a some very nice hotels actually on Universal property.

The Royal Pacific is very nice plus get the benefits of staying on Universals property, you can't go wrong.

The Royal Pacific is the most reasonably priced of the three onsight hotels. An added bonus is your room-key card lets you skip the normal lines at the parks. You do, however, still have to pay to enter the parks.

Anyone know anything about Staybridge Suites or Crowne Plaza? We wont be renting a car so will need to have walking/trolley car to get around.

To get around in Orlando having a car is extremely helpful. If you are not going to rent a car I suggest you stay at a hotel on the Universal property. Everything you need is right there, shopping, restaurants, the parks, cabs and buses.
Depending on how long your stay is I would rent a car. If it is only a few days you might be all right, anything longer and spring for a car. |

If you really wanted I think you can make it without a car. If you stay on I-drive between Sea World and the Belz outlets you can take the I-Drive trolley to get around. Also, I think most of the major resort hotels have daily shuttles to the theme parks. I stayed a weekend at the Crowne Plaza Resort on the south end of I-drive. It's very nice but slightly out of the way.
