I can help at least with a dog park actually located in Winter Park on a BIG lake. My oldest daughter and her hubby take their lab, and we take our dog (not a lab, but priceless to us) to a big piece of property, fenced in with dog washes and drinking fountains for them. Dogs that are too aggressive are not permitted. They run with each other, the high energy dogs tend to congregate together, and the low energy dogs tend to congregate together. The last time I was there a big, beautiful, well-taken care of St. Bernard was playing in the water with a Jack Russell and a Great Dane. It was a lot of fun to watch the Jack Russell with them. There have been no dog fights every time I've been, the owners are respectful of the property, if you know what I mean, and some owners have brought toys and balls and left them for the dogs to play with. There are picnic tables for the owners to sit at.
While I've not researched vets in the Winter Park, so someone else may be able to respond, but there are many good vets in the Orlando area.
I've talked with lots of younger adults, men and women, at the dogs park who too are really dedicated to their pups.
The address of the dog park I believe is officially Orlando, but it is off Lakemont Avenue, past Winter Park Memorial Hospital.
Good luck on your decision. The past two weekends have been beautiful, and we have been at the dog park. The weekend before was pretty cold for here, so we didn't go.
