Default Moving to Wekiva Springs area from small town.. I got some questions..

I am moving to Wekiva Springs to stay with my cousin here pretty soon. I am from a small town in Oklahoma and graduated with a class of just 13 students, and just 300 in the entire school (K-12), Since then I have lived in Edmond, Oklahoma which is near Oklahoma City, and Branson Missouri. I HATE lots of traffic and it freaks me out at first, but I think once I get more used to it, that it won't scare me as bad. What is the Wekiva Springs area like and what is there to do there and what is near there and etc? And which areas of Orlando should I avoid? Slow bumper to bumper traffic doesn't freak me out like the 80 mph freeway traffic with thousands of people does. Any recommendations or tips? Thanks in advance.

There is traffic in the wekiva area as you will be navigating SR's 434 and 436 a lot of the time. Although I've never lived in the wekiva area I've been there plenty and it seems to be a very nice area. It is mostly upper middle class. It is close to Altamonte Springs which has almost anything you need, but keep in mind traffic there is bad. Lake Mary is not far away either and there are a lot of good places to eat there as well.

If you like nature one of the best state parks in Central Florida is located right there, Wekivia Springs state park. Canoing is great, the park is a rare peaceful place in the metro area. Good Luck.

Hmm... Are there many jobs in Wekiva Springs? If so, I may get a job in Wekiva Springs or Altamonte instead of going to Orlando to work...

No, there are no jobs in wekiva, unless you want to work for a supermarket. It is most entirely residential. You can however find a job in altamonte.
