I am moving to the Orlando area and staying with my cousin in Wekiva Springs for awhile, and when I get some money saved up I was thinking about moving to Daytona.. I have always wanted to live close to the beach. I have seen that apartments there are pretty resonable. Is it a pretty safe place to live? Thanks.

if you're gonna be working in orlando, daytona is too far. some areas of daytona are kinda sketch and some are nicer so it depends where you're living. but right now though there is a serial killer on the loose in that area. i prefer nsb to daytona if i could move to the beach.

Go to New Smyrna beach forget Daytona I always felt Daytona was a bit on the trashy side. I was walking around one time in Daytona and there were broken bottles everywhere and puke on the side walks.

Then you have to deal with Bike week the Daytona 500 and spring break.

What is the crime like there? I am from a small town in Oklahoma, and am used to not having to really worry about crime at all.

Beach towns draw alot of people so you will have crime because of the influx of people but its not bad.
